Can the EU budget tip the scales of French Election?

 

European policy and the french contribution to the EU budget became subjects in Sarkozy’s and Hollande’s election campaigns.

While Nicolas Sarkozy plans to freeze the current contribution to the EU budget (and therefore pleads against a rise in the budget), François Hollande stands up for the creation of new financial aids in the fields of green technology and transport.
